To Whom It May Concern,

Your identity is the lens through which you see yourself and navigate the world around you. It's a story you hold about who you are and what matters most that makes sense of the life you're living. This story influences the decisions you make, the paths you journey, and even the limits you place on yourself. However, it's an important aspect of our lives many of us fail to manage.

When your story is only written for one aspect of your life and neglects all others, it limits how you perceive and relate to the world. To a man with a hammer, every problem starts to look like a nail. Similarly, to a person who believes they know themselves through a limited identity, life begins to look narrow, and their sense of self feels fragile. In contrast, to a person who feels they don't know themselves and doesn't embrace any area of their life, life begins to feel aimless, meaningless, and uncertain.

The truth is that your identity is capable of expanding as much as you are capable of growing. You are as able to reshape the meaning you derive from your experiences as you are able to change the decisions you make in your daily life. While it may not be easy, it is possible. By reflecting on how your identity shapes your life, you can uncover opportunities to break free from limiting patterns, expand your sense of self, and design a story that embraces your full potential.

This self-assessment is designed to help you examine and identify the limitations you may experience through your extreme attachment to or neglect of 12 different areas of your life. Through your own evaluation, you will gain insight into how your identity influences your life. In completing this assessment, it's my hope you will attain a deeper understanding of how to create a more authentic and integrated sense of self that supports your overall growth and well-being.
